Here are a few photos from my many visits to Gloucester, as well as some from Bewitched of the Gloucester House
and Fishermen's Memorial. On the TV show, they actually created a mock-up of the fisherman on a round pedestal-like
entrance to an underground sewer chamber, located just down the sidewalk along Stacey Boulevard to the west. In the
6-image grid near the bottom of this page, the real Fishermen's Memorial is located directly behind the cordon post
at the top-center of the photo in the lower-left corner.
Stay tuned for plenty of new Gloucester goodies! I've driven up from Westport many times and
have lots of new photos to scan! (That's my car at the lower-left in the last Gloucester House photo.)
I remember one night I stayed at the tan building seen behind the Fishermen's Memorial (below), and it was driving rain
with a strong gale blowing onshore. I felt just like the Man at the Wheel in my rain slicker, battling the wind and
ocean spray. Those minutes beside him are my favorite memory of Gloucester, just as if I was on a fishing vessel
myself in a nighttime gale, conditions similar to which have claimed the lives of so many Gloucestermen.
